A huge thanks to everyone who entered the competition to win an affiliate pass to a4uexpo, plus 3 nights accommodation in the Novotel, courtesy of those lovely people at Sunshine Holidays – We had over 70 entries at the close of play, and due to the fantastic response to the competition, Chris and the boys at Sunshine have kindly agreed to put up some more prizes, so we’ve got another full affiliate pass to give away, and two networking passes!

So without further ado.. let’s see who the winners are…

First Prize - A full Affiliate pass to A4uexpo, plus 3 nights in the Novotel goes to Tom Armstrong, who is based in Sunderland. he’s been in affilliate marketing for about 10 years now and has sites in lots of different areas, including downloadable products, software and hard goods. He has always promoted international services and products but in the last few years he’s been looking to do more UK affiliate products. He’s working on a number of datafeed sites at the moment. He works at affiliate marketing full time but this is the first event he’s been to. His wife is also an affiliate and works in Travel.

Tom says: “Wow that’s amazing. I’m absolutely over the moon. I think this is the first thing I’ve ever won.Thanks again John and I look forward to meeting you at the Expo! You’ve made my week!”

Second Prize – A full affiliate pass to a4uexpo goes to Martin Warn. Known as “purple” on the a4uforum, he’s been an affiliate for as long as I can remember. I forgot to ask him for a bio or picture when I told him he’d won last night, so I’m just lifting stuff from his facebook page… Martin is a member of the “If I am ever worth over 10million I’ll make Worcester City FC a league club”, “I Was At The First Ever Roof Gardens Affiliate Get2Gether” and “I did not go to Barbados with Affiliate Future” groups. He is currently addicted to the Scott Mills webcam, and recently became a fan of a cup of tea.

Martin says: “coolio, top stuff. Thanks to you and sunshine!”

Runners Up Prizes: Networking passes worth £150 each went to Daniel Goodchild and Neil Anderson. Daniel has a day job as a recruiter specialising in Online Marketing, doing a lot of work in AM for networks and agencies. By night,he’s an affiliate with a few sites currently, primarily in retail – electronics and toys (roll on Christmas !). Personal stuff – Married with 2 beautiful daughters. Desperately trying to get fit so he can indulge properly on holiday in a few weeks time. When he gets 2 minutes spare he also enjoys photography and Photoshopping (anyone remember Matt Wood as Elvis ?).

At the time of writing, Neil has not claimed his prize so if you’re reading this Neil – check your email! If it’s still unclaimed this time tomorrow, I’ll redraw the prize.

Daniel says: “Wow ! I’m over the moon. Just in time too as I was about to dig deep
tomorrow and actually pay for a ticket. Thanks so much for the ticket. I’m working on a travel site I promise. I just didn’t get around to finishing it in time for this Summer!”

I’m sure Chris will hold you to that promise Daniel – Don’t forget of course the Sunshine “So You Don’t do Travel” session that I’ll expect to see you at is on Day One of expo at 2pm (as you, and almost everyone else correctly answered) – Get there early as this one could be standing room only…
