Bank Affiliate Programs – Find Affiliate Programs for UK Banks and Building Societies

Bank Affiliate Programs are some of the highest paying CPA programs in the Industry, and if you have a steady stream of finance traffic, then working with Bank and Building Society Affiliate Programs can be very profitable indeed. Because of the high CPAs on offer, Bank Affiliate Programs are ideal candidates for PPC campaigns, both for established finance affiliates and those working in other sectors. Here we take a look at some of the Banks Affiliate Programs, and where to find them. Please note that this is intended as a guide only – Affiliate Programs swap networks all the time, so current networks, program details and commissions are all subject to change at any time. Please check the networks for the latest Bank Affiliate Programs.

Bank Affiliate Programs on the networks
Major UK banks such as First Direct, Lloyds TSB, Citibank, Alliance and Leicester and Barclays have all had affiliate programs running on a UK network at one point or another. When looking for a dedicated UK network that focuses very much on Bank Affiliate programs, then you can’t go far wrong with Online Media Group, or OMG for short, who at the time of writing also had Bank of Scotland, Halifax, HSBC, MBNA, Nationwide, Natwest and Virgin Money amongst many others on their books. OMG only accept websites of the very-highest quality though, and are renowned for rejecting affiliates whose websites don’t come up to scratch, so make sure your website looks perfect before applying to OMG.

Other networks worth considering for Bank Affiliate Programs include Affiliate Window, Affiliate Future and Paid on Results.

Vanquis Bank Affiliate Program
The Vanquis Bank Affiliate Program can be found on Affiliate Window, and pays £20 per new account opened. Traditionally, Vanquis Bank’s target customers are those with poor credit history, or those who struggle to get credit elsewhere. They’re not ideally suited for those affiliates pre-selling on a comparison basis, unless as a last resort for those customers refused credit with other lenders. At the time of writing, Vanquis Bank’s conversion rate was 2.92%, and their average earnings per click was £0.57. Brand Bidding is not allowed, and cashback/incentive sites are not allowed to promote the Vanquis Bank Affiliate Program.

Abbey National Affiliate Program
OK, They’re not called Abbey National anymore, and haven’t been for a couple of years now, but they’ll always be Abbey National to me! So, the Abbey affiliate programs (for Home Insurance and Mortgages) is currently live on Tradedoubler under their TD Talk offering. There isn’t currently an affiliate program for Abbey bank accounts on a network. TD also have Natwest Business Accounts and Halifax Bank Affiliate Programs (part of the HBOS Group) available on their network.

FSA Regulations
Please remember when working with Bank Affiliate Programs, that your websites will have to comply with the Financial Services Authority regulations, that govern advertising for any financial products to prevent mis-selling. For thise reason, many financial merchants are very strict about what affiliates are able to say when reviewing them on websites etc. Quite a few offer latest FSA-approved content and offers updated remotely via javascript to avoid out-of-date content with incorrect APRs etc appearing on affiliates websites and bringing complaints from customers of mis-selling. Check the merchant’s page on the network for their stance on what you can and can’t say and/or any dynamically updated content available.

Has anyone else had troubles with vanquis?

Had them cold calling people they had cancelled on their website, after I had referred them, and me not getting any referral because of this. They of course deny it has ever happened even though I was in attendance when they called one of the people it happened to, gave them all the details as well but still no joy or help off AW!

Also had dubious cancellations after everything had gone through and the customer had been accepted only for them to supposedly cancel the credit card. Which seeing as most people applying for these cards are desperate for a cc is crazy and would hurt their chances of getting another cc, even a high APR card.

Just a not about the Lloyds TSB debit card promotion on the DGM pro network – it sucks!
I was promoting Lloyds TSB and requested to take down the banners – no reason offered despite some really good results. I am in my 3 week of waiting for an explanation.
Can’t stand affiliates that play god in this way.

Thank, that’s pretty usefull. I run a banking website in Ireland Bank.ie (Ireland has no financial affiliate programmes) but I can use these bank affiliate programmes on my site to target the Northern Irish visitors

    Thanks for that!

Vanquis had always been a dodgy company in many ways.
I stand by my word anyday anytime anywhere
