I almost always opt for the revshare over the CPA, as in most cases it will mean you earn more. Of course you have to weight that up against not knowing how much x number of signups will offer you, and whether the "lifetime" commissions are likely to still be paid out in 3 months/3years time.

The perfect example I have of this in action is with bet365 (not a bingo company I know, but the same principle still applies) - We've been on their revshare program since 2003, and if we add up all the commission we've had, and divide it by the number of players we've referred to them, our effective CPA is nearly £150. Knocks the spots off the "competitive" £10 CPA that some bookies are offering.

Gambling/Bingo is a big-win area, so you're always going to get spammy sites targeting the arena. Traffic isn't easy to get, but it's not impossible either, and it is very valuable when you do get it.

Hi Lammo,

So for a site like ladbrokes bingo which offer £20 cpa are you saying it's better to switch to the rev share only I'm thinking of promoting bingo in the not too distant future? Some google inspired keyword analysis around mecca bingo (for instance) shows a heck of a lot of searches in the bingo area. I've always thought that promoting bingo (or any gambling related product) was nigh on impossible what with google changing their PPC terms to allow brand names in.

My own site draws a little bit of traffic but i wish it was 10 fold!! I presume SEO is the way forward with this but i've already come accross a whole host of spammy sites that rank incredibly well for bingo / gambling related searches - even if they do have p**s poor html coding and non existing backlinks they just can't be budged out of the top rankings.
