I would like to Confirm that Virgin actually run their activity through Buy.at and not TradeDoubler.

Otherwise a very interesting article!

Thanks

Good post Lammo. I find this market one of the most exciting sectors to be in at the moment but also one of the toughest in affiliate marketing. It is a very complex market and the key players are extremely competitive with commissions but ultimately it comes down to the product and what customers want so conversion is key. If starting out I would suggest to look at the best selling phones and tariffs and build from there.

Mobile broadband is a booming sector at the moment and likely to continue at least for the short term. Also worth taking a look a phone recycle companies in the credit crunch as this is something that is beginning to take off, for example I found out I can sell my old iPhone for £125, that will catch on, get it while its hot!

A good summary of the mobile marketplace.

Something unique to the Vodafone programme is that it pays out on applications rather than confirmed contracts.

This takes away the worry affiliates might have about the traditionally high decline rates the mobile market suffers from and offers the right kind of affiliates substantial earning potential.

Julia Stent (Julia.Stent@vodafone.com) is a superb affiliate manager who would be delighted to hear from any affiliates interested in getting involved.

Alternatively feel free to contact Eva Bowring at Affiliate Window (eva.bowring@affiliatewindow.com).
