Due to unforeseen circumstances (what do you mean well planned circumstances?), “the wives” are no longer able to attend the A4u Summer networking event at Bristol on 20th July. As a result, I’ve got two spare affiliate tickets.
I’ve spoken to Matt, and he’s happy for me to offer the tickets to someone else.. So, if you would like to go to this event, and fancy a free ticket, simply leave a comment to that effect on this post.
I’ll pick two winners out of the hat next Friday (the 13th could be lucky for some!), who will win 1 affiliate ticket each (You will need to buy another one if you want to take a partner etc, and don’t worry about not knowing anyone – we’re in town from 2pm onwards, so we’ll meet up with you before the main event if you’d like).
I’m keen to let the tickets go to a good home, maybe someone who is using one of Kieron’s 6 reasons not to go, so ideally, I’d like the winners to meet the following criteria:
- You are an affiliate.
- You have never been to an affiliate event before.
- You are 100% certain that you will attend if you win the tickets (as you may be depriving others who want to go)
Good luck!

Hi John
I’m new to all of this online stuff but was intending to come to the event
in Bristol (I hadn’t looked into the cost or anything yet though).
I am a Mercahnt and keen to meet all those affiliates but understand if you
don’t deem me worthy as I know it was an offer to affiliates.
Hope to meet you there either way.
Cheers
Windsor
Hi Windsor,
it’s not so much that I don’t want a merchant to win – The tickets I have are Affiliate tickets, so would not be valid for merchants. If you know of any of your affiliates that would like to go, you could win a ticket for them, or just point them here?
OK John
See what you mean ….. guess I’ll just have to buy my own!
Thanks anyway and I hope to meet you at the event.
Windsor
I’m not sure if I meet all the criteria.
But if there are no other takers….
1. You are an affiliate.
Yes
2. You have never been to an affiliate event before.
No, but I’ve never been to a A4U G2G south of Manchester.
3. You are 100% certain that you will attend if you win the tickets
Yes, I’ve already booked accommodation in Bristol for the 19th and 20th.
Well done Don – you’ve won a ticket.. check your email.
I’ve offered the other ticket to Don too in case he wants to bring a partner, but if he doesn’t, then I’ve still got 1 ticket left, which I’ll give to the first affiliate to ask for it – either by comment on here, email, msn, or PM on the forum.
Failing that, I’ll stand outside the venue on Friday touting it to passers-by who fancy some free food and drink.. maybe I can find a tramp who could do with a meal… (only kidding Matt!)
Hi John
Long term affiliate being away from g2g scene for a while would love to take up your offer of a ticket mate
OK, that’s both tickets claimed – If anyone else wants to go, you’ll have to buy your own ticket now! Should be a good crowd there on Friday, with over 200 people registered – I’ll see you there!
