The Oscars have the Razzies and now, two weeks before the inaugural a4uawards I’m proud to announce the launch of the aFuawards to celebrate the flip side of our Industry – If a4uawards can celebrate the best in the business, then the aFuawards will celebrate the worst, the dark side, and the simply inept.
Before I go any further, I should point out that the term aFuawards was dreamt up by me, and is in no way whatsoever affiliated to or endorsed by Affiliates4u, a4uexpo, Matt Wood or anybody at Existem. It’s intended purely as a bit of fun, and is not meant to ridicule or humiliate in any way. I’ll also add the disclaimer that the BBC uses for their polls, which is that the results do not necessarily reflect public opinion as a whole (as I’m sure people will try and rig it somehow!)
So, I’m inviting nominations for the following categories:
- Worst Merchant
- Worst Network
- Grubbiest Affiliate
- Worst Agency
- Industry Chump
- Worst Affiliate Blog
As I’ve said, it’s only meant as a bit of fun, so I’m not going to be forcing people to accept awards or anything – unless of course you fancy doing a Halle Berry…
Please send your nominations in by leaving a comment on this article (If you don’t want your name to be published, please put “Anon” as your name – your email will not be published, and I will be checking IP addresses to ensure that the entire Cohen family doesn’t start voting as happened on a previous a4u poll
If you’d prefer to nominate without your nominations showing publicly, you can email your nominations to be at john@bigideamedia.com. Nominations will close next Thursday (18th October), and you’ll be able to vote for your winners of the very first (and probably only!) aFuawards from next Friday.
Please keep this in the spirit it is intended – A tongue-in-cheek activity, and not an excuse to slag people off. Any offensive/libelous/vindictive comments will be deleted.
Go nuts!
