My podcast with Fraser is now live

To say it’s been a long time in the making is an understatement – Fraser first asked me to do a podcast back in the summer (Did we really have a summer this year?), but I was unable to commit the time until easycoreg was live.

We finally set a date for 10th October, which I’m sure Fraser will remember for the rest of his life, as his wife gave birth to his daughter Anna – a fair excuse, but that put paid to our little chat for a few more weeks, by which time a4uexpo was upon us, and that, combined with the follow-up emails and chats lost us another two weeks.

We finally managed to nail down a date to do it in early November, and all was looking good…. until about 10 minutes in when I realised I was talking to myself, as Fraser had been cut off. We tried another 2 or 3 times, but the same thing happened, so we had to abandon it halfway through – Personally I’m blaming Vista – everything else seems to be their fault!

So we finally managed to complete the interview last Monday, and Fraser uploaded it to his blog on Friday – You can listen to the podcast (and try and spot the “joins”) at Frasers Affiliate Blog.

Fraser’s got a wonderful interview style – He’s been criticized in the past for not asking more difficult questions, and yes, he’s no Paxman.. But I’ve done a lot of interviews with journalists etc, and none of them were as daunting as being interviewed by one of your peers, and Fraser tends to let people talk, which means they usually end up saying more than they otherwise would if he interjected more (On the flip side, it also means interviewees end up talking away for 2 or 3 minutes before realising Fraser’s not there lol)

We managed to cover a lot of topics in our little chat, including some Affiliate Investment advice, the sale of Net Free Stuff, my new outlook on life and work/life balance. I hope you enjoy the podcast, and appreciate the time that it’s taken to get to this stage!

    Enjoyed the podcast.

Was especially drawn to the ‘retirement’ section as I have been known to pull a few
‘all-nighters’ myself back in the day. Similarly I ‘burnt-out’ and had to take a step back before going forwards.

    Kudos to both of you.

Glad you enjoyed it Ambski – It’s all too easy to do the all-nighters, and sometimes you just have to walk away from the computer for an hour or so to give yourself a break, or that vital “me-time”
