Affiliate Marketing Programs
There are literally thousands of Affiliate Marketing Programs on the Internet (I think it was just over the 3,000 mark at last count), and clearly affiliates can't possibly find even half of these programs with the use of some massive Affiliate Marketing Program Directory. Even then, it's not really feasible to work with or manage that many programs.
I prefer to work with a smaller number of Affiliate Marketing Programs - say no more than 50, as that's much more manageable and you are able to devote time to making each program work, getting to know the merchants and their products much better. To make it easier for you to find the best affilate marketing programs, I've written some Affiliate Program reviews for a few selected merchants.
If you prefer to choose your own merchants that will help you earn money from your website, then I would recommend joining the main UK Affiliate Marketing Networks such as

When thinking of leading British retailers, the John Lewis Partnership is among the very elite. Founded in 1864 the group has grown to include the chain of John Lewis stores, the food retailer Waitrose and Greenbee (the company’s broker of insurance products and direct services). John Lewis has won prestigious awards, such as “Britain’s Favourite Retailer 2007″ and “Top of the Shops 2007″ (as voted by Which?), and with a turnover of more than £6.8 billion last year - they are now offering affiliates a slice of the action.

Regular readers will know I’m a huge fan of Bookmaker affiliate programs that pay lifetime commissions, whether that is via Gross Revenue share or a percentage of stakes made. Either way, it’s a much fairer way than a straight CPA deal, as you’re rewarded for introducing quality punters much better than a flat CPA. Our effective CPA (what we’ve earned per customer signed up) with the Bet365 affiliate program for example is over £110 CPA and rising daily - Compare that with the pathetic £10 CPA offered by the William Hill affiliate program, and you’ll see why I send all my betting traffic anywhere but to William Hill.
