Just seen this reader's letter from "The Fiver", The Guardian's tea-time Football email:

"Ian Holloway should get the England manager's job. He's tactically naive (Second-Choice Steve), he's a liar (Eriksson), he'll do anything for money (Venables) and when the going gets tough he'll walk out (Keegan)"

Well, continuing with the "bird in a taxi" theme, it looks like we're going to react swiftly whilst on the rebound, straight into the arms of an ex... also a Saints Reject Paul Sturrock!

Not sure how I feel about that - the guy's a legend here, and I'd like him to stay that way.. They say never go back? But on the other hand, how many times has he taken over a club mid-season and ended up being promoted at the end? Twice I believe.. and we're in a strong position to build on that.

I'd still like to see us give Tim Breacker a few more games and at least see if he wants the job. That way, we'd get the HollowWords setup, minus the lying media monkey. No need to rush into appointing the wrong person.

You're quite welcome to George Burley and the bunch of muppets running Southampton if that makes you feel any better!
